I was fed up looking for a free script that provided admin approval, since my own guestbooks were being Spammed constantly, so I decided to write my own! My first script, MWGuest is a simple, easy to set up guestbook for your site, written in PHP and using MySQL, letting people leave comments about their visit that can only be viewed once they are approved by you.

Signing the guestbook with wide selection of fields. None of the fields is strictly required. Guest can fill only what he wants. All data are written into mySQL database in a table. Also two more tables are used for language settings and administration user data. Listing the guestbook shows all enteries on the pages with 10 enteries on each page. Using the style sheet to format the look of the pages: guestbook and admin part. Administration section based on my own 'Golden Login' with many advanced features: deleting enteries, multiple users for administration. Very easy to use. Easy to add it to any page you want. Insert just 3 lines to your existing code.

I took the Advanced guestbook fromhttp://proxy2.de and added a plethora of features. I also added several anti spam features as the guestbook spam is a major probem. The guestbook features smileys, optional inputs, guests can upload pictures with their posts, a powerful badword filter, ip banning, flood control, text formatting, pre post moderating(check out posts before they appear in the book) and much much more.
