1. TreeTable



This Java applet combines both table (grid) view and tree view. So you can hierarchically organize your data and still have multiple columns to display not only node name, but also some properties of the item. Applet can load its content from XML, allows editing of cells content as a text field (like in Excel), put checkboxes, combo boxes, hyperlinks, pictures and any other widgets in cells. Light-weight, high-performance, having clear and comfortable API, applet is highly useful for representation of data in commercial applications. Such features, as dynamical loading of items by opening of subnodes, gives possibility to satisfy client's requirements to display really huge amounts of data fetched from database. TreeTable supports JavaScript events, right-mouse menu, international symbols (like japanese).

3. JavaSheet



JavaSheet presents the contents of a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet in a Java applet. It can read many basic Excel values and some functions. It is also interactive, and can recalculate some functions such as additions and subtractions. It is a great tool for creating complex calculators without the hassels of custom javascript. It does require a recent Sun JVM and browser plug-in, so it is best suited to Intranet deployments.

4. HSQL Database Engine



HSQL is a relational database engine written in Java, with a JDBC driver, supporting a subset of ANSI-92 sql. It offers a small (about 100k), fast database engine which offers both in memory and disk based tables. Embedded and server modes are available.

This applet allows you to display your database in a spreadsheet style. You can customize this application with your own data, titles, sorting, search, and switches to html detail pages. You can change the form size, font, and the font size. You can do all of this without knowing one programming command.

6. SqlFun



SqlFun is a Java program/applet that allows you to experiment with SQL statements (hopefully) without having to install a SQL server or database program. All you need is Java and Windows ODBC (or any other database server that supports JDBC). Starting from version 2.3, newly added undo/redo of SQL statement editing, and simple SQL statement syntax highlight.
