CSTreeBean is an Open Source server-side JavaBean component that can be used on your Java Server Pages to provide a tree view as HTML tables. The tree gets populated from a database using JDBC. Features: Simple to set up and use, Can handle large and deep trees containing hundreds or even thousands of nodes, No need to mess around with ID's in your table to associate nodes at different levels, Trees are held statically and populated only once - All bean instantiations refer to the static tree, Tree state can be maintained either through URL parameters, or using the session, and Can use views (i.e. to use outer joins to generate a tabular view of a tree from a few well normalised tables). |
